Wine products are subject to shipping costs. The grapes thrive in the desert on a 200-meter-high dune. The extreme dryness protects the vines, and the cool nights allow for excellent acidity.
This year, the harvest was twice as large as usual. The vines produced a fine and rare wine that reflects Israel's history and Bar Giyora's passion for the desert.
The wine matured for 10 months in oak barrels. The vineyard is located near the biblical camp of the Children of Israel in Kadesh Barnea, on the border with Egypt. The Bar Giyora winery is owned by the Schneider family.
